 , knowledge and resilience of Indigenous people; refusing continued assim
 ilation and erasure. Rejecting binaries and categorization\, Galanin’s wo
 rk builds and supports Indigenous complexity and continuum. Galanin emplo
 ys materials and processes that expand dialogue on Indigenous artistic pr
 oduction\, and how culture is carried. His work is in numerous public and
  private collections and exhibited worldwide. Galanin apprenticed with ma
 ster carvers\, earned his BFA at London Guildhall University\, and his MF
 A at Massey University\, he lives and works with his family in Sitka\, Al
