 10am – Q&A Nicki Gonzales\, Ph.D. Dr. Nicki Gonzales is a professor of Hi
 story and Vice Provost at Regis University. She is a member of History Co
 lorado’s State Historian’s Council and in July 2020 was named by Gov. Jar
 ed Polis to the Colorado Geographic Naming Advisory Board. She is a nativ
 e of Denver and her family has deep roots in Southern Colorado and Northe
 rn New Mexico. Dr. Gonzales specializes in the history of the American We
 st\, with a focus on race relations and social and political movements. H
 er research interests include the land grant movements of Southern Colora
 do and the experiences of Chicano Vietnam Veterans. She is also a mom and
