DESCRIPTION:Acclaimed Colorado pianist\, arranger and composer Dave Hanson
  has assembled a vibrant\, multi-generational ensemble for this special n
 ight at Nocturne. This brilliant quintet comprised of Adam Gang (tenor)\,
  Zach Rich (trombone)\, Gabe Rupe (bass)\, and BK Braxton Kahn (drums) wi
 ll explore a mix of reworked classics and moving originals. Dave Hanson i
 s an accomplished arranger\, composer\, and pianist who has written for a
  diverse range of artists and ensembles\, including the Boston Pops\, Den
 ver Brass\, Boulder Brass\, USAF Falconaires\, Paul Winter and more. He i
 s co-leader and arranger for the critically acclaimed H2 Big Band. Dave w
 as a long time faculty member at the Lamont School of Music at Denver Uni
 versity retiring in 2025. In an educational encore\, he has recently beco
 me a part of the music faculty at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
