About this site

lodo.com is a guide to Lower Downtown Denver that tries to be two things at once: written by people who actually walk these blocks, and updated by machines that never sleep.

The neighborhood is Denver’s oldest and its most visited, and for a long time the only ways to find out what was on were a dozen venue websites, a ticketing app that wants your email, and the sports pages. We stitched those together. Every hour, this site pulls the Rockies’, Nuggets’, Avalanche’ and Broncos’ official schedules, the venues’ own calendars, and the Auraria campus feeds, and lays them on one calendar. Every place in the directory was checked by a person in August 2026, and the ones that had quietly closed (46 of them so far) were taken off the map instead of left to send you to a locked door.

What’s here

• What’s on — a live calendar with a calendar-app feed you can subscribe to.
• Places — 142 restaurants, bars, hotels, venues, parks and shops, each with a short honest note on what it’s for.
• The map — all of it, filterable, on open map tiles.
• Guides — the longer reads: history, game days, getting around, the campus.
• The weekly letter — Thursday mornings. Sponsored by Ashtanga Yoga Denver, which is why there is a little yoga around the edges here.

Corrections

If we have a place wrong — closed, moved, new hours, a bad description — tell us. A human reads every note. Business owners who would rather not have their photo shown here can say so on the same form and it comes down.
