Creating Inclusion and Belonging: Examining Cues that Foster Identity-Safety
Thursday, October 8 · 12:30 pm–1:45 pm
at Tivoli Student Union (TV)

Why do some spaces feel welcoming while others make us question whether we fit in? The MSU Denver Department of Psychological Sciences invites the campus community to Creating Inclusion and Belonging: Examining Cues that Foster Identity-Safety, presented by Eva Pietri, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder. As part of the Shane Marie Morrow Lectureship Series, Dr. Pietri will explore the psychology of belonging, identity, and inclusion and examine how environmental cues can shape our experiences. Attendees will learn how even small changes can contribute to more welcoming and identity-safe spaces on our campus. Hosted by the Department of Psychological Sciences, College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at MSU Denver. This event is an AAC approved topic.
