Presenting a collection of modern and straight ahead compositions, Denver drummer/bandleader Dru Heller leads a dynamic quartet featuring John Gunther -sax, Ben Markley -piano and Eirik Haughbro -bass. Dru Heller is a dynamic drummer and bandleader that has made his home in Denver since 2013. He has toured and recorded with some of the greatest names in Jazz, including John Ellis, Ron Miles, Art Lande, and others. Dru keeps up a busy schedule in a multitude of projects and can be seen frequently in different clubs, festivals and concert halls in Colorado. Dru attended the University of Colorado in Boulder where he received an M.M. in Jazz Performance/Pedagogy. As an educator Dru been an artist in residence for many colleges, high schools, and music festivals around the country. He has a private teaching studio of all ages and ability levels, and is a music faculty member of Metropolitan State University of Denver.
