Fishback Landing Park
Small riverfront lawn on the Platte with benches and trail access
Fishback Landing is a modest strip of green on the west bank of the South Platte at 818 Water Street, sitting between the Downtown Aquarium and the river bend. The South Platte River Trail runs straight through it, which is essentially its reason for existing: benches, picnic tables, a small parking area, a porta-potty, and somewhere to stop between Confluence Park and the county line. It is not a destination. It is where you sit down when you have walked further than you meant to, or where you put in if you are floating down to Confluence.
Why go. A bench on the river between Confluence Park and everything south of it.
There is a small lot right here, which makes it an easier trail start than fighting for a space at Confluence Park on a Saturday.
