New Orleans frames sold in a sunroom with a fireplace going
KREWE is an independent eyewear company out of New Orleans, and its Denver shop is on Larimer between the Central Market and the 27th Street corner. The frames are hand-finished and designed in New Orleans, sun and optical both, and they are priced accordingly. The store itself is the argument: an optical sunroom with a fireplace and a view back toward the downtown skyline, which is a strange and rather good thing to find in a shop that sells sunglasses. Worth ten minutes even if you have no intention of buying.
Why go. A properly designed room, and frames you will not see on everyone else in town.
They do prescription lenses in the same frames, so an eye test result is worth bringing along.
