54thirty Rooftop
Downtown's highest open-air rooftop, named for the elevation it sits at.
On top of Le Meridien at 15th and California, twenty floors up, and the highest open-air rooftop bar downtown. The name is the elevation: 5,430 feet. Cocktails run to infusions and shareable plates, the fire pits get lit when the temperature drops, and the whole west side looks at the Front Range with the Convention Center in the foreground. It fills fast on a warm Thursday and tables are first-come, so the trick is to be up there before the after-work crowd rather than after it. This is a view bar and it charges like one.
Why go. The best sunset view you can get downtown without buying a hotel room.
Tables are first-come and gone by six on a warm evening; arrive by four-thirty or plan to stand.
