Downtown Children's Playground

Small creekside playground below the MCA, reached over an old rail trestle

Tucked between the Cherry Creek Trail and the back of the Museum of Contemporary Art, this is LoDo's only real playground: two play zones for different ages, a sand area, a climbing net and a small water feature for hot afternoons. You can reach it from the trail or by walking across a repurposed railroad trestle from 14th Street. It is a Denver Parks site, so it keeps normal park hours and gets the normal amount of urban wear; reviews mention graffiti and litter on bad days. Best as a 20-minute stop after the MCA or a Confluence Park walk, not a destination.

Why go. The one place in LoDo proper to let small kids run.

Come from the Cherry Creek Trail side and combine it with the MCA, which lets kids under 12 in free.
