Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex

The round brick building holding four of the Denver Center's working stages.

The drum-shaped brick building on the west side of the Arts Complex, and the actual home of the Denver Center Theatre Company. Four stages live inside: the Wolf, the Kilstrom, the Singleton and the Jones, running from a large thrust down to a black box that gets rebuilt for each production. This is where the Denver Center makes its own work instead of importing a tour, and where the Colorado New Play Summit lands every February with readings of scripts nobody has staged yet. If your ticket names one of those four rooms, this is the building you want.

Why go. It is where the Denver Center premieres its own plays rather than renting someone else's.

The Colorado New Play Summit runs in February; it is the weekend to come if you want to see work before anyone else has.
