Aspen's ski-town hotel brand, dropped across from Union Station
This building opened in 2017 as the Kimpton Hotel Born. Aspen Hospitality bought in and reflagged it Limelight Denver, making it the brand's first city hotel after Aspen and Ketchum. The address puts Union Station across the street, with Ball Arena and Coors Field each about a ten-minute walk. The feel is mountain-town rather than downtown-corporate: a big lobby lounge, gear storage, dogs welcome at the door. Condé Nast Traveler readers have voted it among Colorado's best hotels, a fact the front page will not let you miss.
Why go. A ski-company hotel two blocks from the ballpark, which is a useful and slightly odd combination.
