A dark, tartan-and-taxidermy whiskey bar with hundreds of bottles on Dairy Block.
Seven Grand is the Denver outpost of the Los Angeles whiskey bar, opened on Dairy Block in 2019. It is a long, low-lit room with plaid carpet, mounted antlers and a back bar that runs to several hundred whiskeys, plus a proper Old Fashioned and a bartender who will actually talk you through the list. There is live bluegrass some weeknights and a whiskey society for regulars. It stays open until 2am every night, which makes it the reliable last stop after anything at Coors Field or McGregor Square.
Why go. The deepest whiskey list downtown, in a room built for a slow second drink.
Sunday is all-day happy hour; on weekdays it runs until 7pm, and the Wednesday bluegrass nights are the liveliest the room gets.
