Blanchard Family Wines
A Sonoma-and-Colorado winery's tasting room in the Dairy Block alley.
Blanchard Family Wines is a small winery run by brothers James and Mark Blanchard, with roots in Healdsburg, California, and a Colorado line from Western Slope and Front Range fruit. The Dairy Block room on Blake Street, two blocks from Coors Field, pours its own wines by the glass, flight or bottle, some on tap, alongside charcuterie, cheese and snacks from local makers. It is a wine bar you can actually sit in for an afternoon, and it stays open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
Why go. A flight and a cheese board in the Dairy Block without a reservation.
Ask for the Colorado flight to taste what the state is doing; weekend afternoons before a game are the busy stretch.
