Corks on Platte

Ground-floor bottle shop on the block where everyone else is drinking

Listed in OpenStreetMap under its old name, Corks the Wine Store. Mark and Jeff bought it in 2017, renamed it Corks on Platte and pushed the beer and whiskey shelves harder; they opened a sister store, Corks LoHi, on Navajo five years later. It is a genuinely small room, so the selection is chosen rather than warehoused, heavy on Colorado breweries and reasonable on bourbon. Staff take requests and actually order them. Open late enough on weekends to catch you after dinner on Platte.

Why go. The convenient bottle stop on the Platte Street block, with staff who know the shelf.

It runs until 10pm Wednesday through Saturday, which is later than most Denver bottle shops.
