Denver Beer Co (Platte Street)
The garage-door taproom on Platte Street where the neighborhood drinks outside.
Denver Beer Co opened its original taproom in a converted garage on Platte Street in 2011 and it is still the model: a big beer garden with picnic tables, dogs, food trucks, and a rotating list heavy on lagers and the Graham Cracker Porter that put them on the map. It is the first stop off the Highland Bridge from Commons Park and the last stop before it on the way home. Trivia, run club and bingo nights are on the calendar.
Why go. An outdoor beer within a ten-minute walk of Union Station, most of the year.
On a sunny Saturday the patio is full by 2pm; go on a weekday afternoon or after 8.
