Poke House

Walk-the-line poke bowls a block off the 17th Street bridge

A bright counter at 17th and Platte where you walk the line and point: base, protein, sauce, the standard run of toppings. Portions are large for the money and it stays open to 8pm, later than most lunch counters around here, so it works as a weeknight dinner when nobody wants to cook. There's a small patio out front. It fills at noon with people from the surrounding offices and empties by two, which tells you when to go.

Why go. A fast, cold, cheap lunch on a block where most options are sit-down.

The patio tables sit right on 17th - fine at 2pm, loud at 5.
