A Kimpton built out of the 1917 Railway Exchange building and the Art Moderne Title Building next door, at 17th and Champa. Rooms are loud in the good way, colour and pattern rather than beige, and the hotel keeps the Kimpton habits: dogs stay free with no weight limit, an evening social hour in the lobby, loaner bikes. Panzano, the northern Italian restaurant off the lobby, has been one of the better hotel restaurants in the city for years and does a real breakfast. It is four blocks from Union Station and two from 16th Street.
Why go. The downtown hotel that takes your dog without charging you for it.
Panzano's breakfast is open to non-guests and is a better downtown meeting than any coffee shop on 16th Street.
