The Union Station branch of the Denver small chain, working as a bakery case, a breakfast counter and a salad-and-sandwich lunch spot in one. The cakes in the front case are absurdly tall and are the reason a lot of people stop. From three in the afternoon it runs an all-night happy hour with three-dollar beers and five-dollar wines, which for a train station is close to charity. Order at the counter, carry it to a table in the hall.
Why go. Cheap early-evening drinks and a slice of cake without leaving the building.
The happy hour runs from three until close, not the usual two-hour window; the layer cake is the order.
