A proper bookshop inside the train station, open to the Great Hall
The surviving LoDo branch of Denver's best-known bookstore, tucked into the west side of Union Station's Great Hall since the building reopened in 2014. It is small compared to the Colfax flagship, weighted toward new fiction, Colorado titles, and things you would want on a train. It survived the chain's 2023 bankruptcy and the Barnes & Noble purchase that followed, and it still functions as the station's living room annexe: buy a book, take it to a bench under the arched ceiling, wait for whatever you are waiting for.
Why go. You can buy a book and read it in one of the best public rooms in Denver.
