Bavarian beer hall · $$ · since 2015
Rhein Haus Denver
Brats, liter steins and indoor bocce courts in a two-story Market Street hall.
Rhein Haus opened in November 2015 in a big brick building at 14th and Market, a Denver sibling of the Seattle original. It is a Bavarian beer hall done properly: house-made bratwurst, giant pretzels with beer cheese, schnitzel, more than two dozen taps heavy on German lagers, and, the reason groups come, indoor bocce courts you can reserve. Ball Arena is a ten-minute walk, so it fills before Avs and Nuggets games and empties fast after puck drop. Note the schedule: it is closed Monday and Tuesday now, and opens at 3pm on weekdays.
Why go. The best big-group pre-game room in LoDo, with something to do while you drink.
Reserve a bocce court ahead on weekend nights and Ball Arena dates; walk-ins wait an hour or more.
