Union Station Farmers Market
Saturday morning produce and makers on the plaza outside the train hall
Every Saturday morning through the warm months, the plaza on the Wynkoop side of Union Station fills with Colorado growers, ranchers and prepared-food vendors, plus jewelry, furniture and other work sold by the people who made it. Live music runs through the morning. It is smaller than the Cherry Creek market and considerably easier to reach, since the A Line drops you at the door. Come early: the good stone fruit and the parking both go first. Season runs roughly May to the end of October.
Why go. The only Denver farmers market you can reach directly from the airport train.
Get there before nine, then walk inside for coffee; by noon the plaza is more crowd than market.
