A Boulder coffee outfit's LoDo cafe in the Oxford Hotel annex.
Amante is the Boulder-born Italian-style espresso company (its flagship is on Baseline), and this cafe sits in the Oxford Hotel annex on 17th, a half block from Union Station's front doors. Proper macchiatos and cappuccinos, panini and pastries, a few tables and a good window for watching 17th Street. It opens at 6:30 on weekdays, earlier than most of the block, which makes it the sensible stop before an early train or a Rockies day game.
Why go. Early hours and Italian espresso a minute from Union Station.
Sunday it closes at 3pm; on weekdays before 8am you will beat both the hotel guests and the commuters.
