This is the shop OpenStreetMap still calls Backcountry Delicatessen; the Steamboat Springs company renamed itself Yampa Sandwich Co. in 2019 and the Wazee Street location kept going under the new sign. It is a counter-service sandwich place built for a workday: breakfast from 8am, big stacked sandwiches on house bread, soups, and a line that moves. It sits a block from Union Station and across the street from the 16th Street corner where the free shuttle turns, which makes it the practical lunch before a Rockies game or a train.
