Amendment XXI Wine & Spirits
Bottle shop that has been supplying this stretch of 15th since 2009
A small independent liquor store named after the amendment that repealed Prohibition, open on 15th Street since the last days of 2009. The selection leans Colorado on the beer shelf and gets specific on wine and agave, and the staff will order things for you if you ask twice. Free tastings run midweek. It sits between Mezcaleria Alma and Forest Room 5, which makes it the obvious stop if you are walking to somebody's house in LoHi and arrived empty-handed. The website has lapsed; the door has not.
Why go. The nearest good bottle shop if you are staying anywhere near Platte Street.
Tastings land on Wednesdays and Thursdays; the staff pick shelf is where the interesting agave hides.
