Ludo Lefebvre's French brasserie on the ground floor of the Thompson
The Los Angeles chef's first restaurant outside California, in the Thompson Denver at 16th and Market, named for his late mother-in-law Margaret, a Coloradan. It runs brasserie hours in the truest sense, from a seven a.m. weekday breakfast through late dinner, so it works as a hotel breakfast, a lunch that means business, or a long dinner. A terrace opened onto the rebuilt 16th Street in 2025 with bistro chairs and umbrellas, and it is now the best table in the place. Bar M handles the drinks.
Why go. Proper French cooking downtown that will also feed you at seven in the morning.
Ask for the 16th Street terrace rather than the dining room; it is new as of 2025 and people still do not think to request it.
