Matcha soft serve and fish-shaped taiyaki from a 16th Street kiosk
One of the small operator-run kiosks that reopened along 16th Street after the street's rebuild, at the Larimer corner. The menu is short and Japanese: matcha and hojicha soft serve, taiyaki filled with red bean or Nutella, bubble tea, coffee. The owner saved for years to take the kiosk, which is the kind of detail that shows in how the drinks are made. Two more locations followed, at 1200 Larimer and on South University. It is a walk-up window, so this is a cone in hand, not a sit-down.
