Boulder-born burritos and cheap margaritas on the corner of 16th and Wazee.

Pete's LoDo used to be a block up at 1530 16th; in March 2021 it moved into the old Lucky Pie corner at 16th and Wazee, which gave it a much bigger patio. It is the same Illegal Pete's formula that started in Boulder in 1995: mission-style burritos, queso by the pound, a full bar with 3-to-8pm happy-hour margaritas and pitchers, and a staff that is friendlier than a burrito line has any right to be. Weekend breakfast burritos run 9am to 1pm. It is the default cheap pre-Rockies stop for people walking up from Union Station.
Why go. A big, cheap, fast meal with a real bar, two blocks from Coors Field foot traffic.
Happy hour is 3 to 8pm every day, so a 6pm pre-game burrito and margarita is the value play.
