Los Chingones
Ninety-seat rooftop, hard margaritas, Mexican plates built for sharing
Troy Guard's Mexican restaurant has been on this stretch of Larimer since 2014 and is still the flagship of the small group that followed. The draw is the weatherproofed ninety-seat rooftop looking down the RiNo blocks; the ground floor is a patio and bar. The food is loose and shareable, tacos and guacamole and chile relleno, meant to be eaten with a drink in the other hand. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 to 5:30pm and is the cheapest way to find out whether you like the place.
Why go. One of the few rooftops in the neighborhood that stays usable when the weather turns.
Weekday happy hour, 3 to 5:30pm, gets you a rooftop seat before the after-work crowd arrives.
