Latin-leaning plates and stiff drinks in a corrugated container box
Open since 2014 in the shipping-container building at 25th and Larimer, sharing the block with Cart Driver. The kitchen sells meat by weight, in quarter, half and full pounds, alongside arepas, plantains and vegetables, so ordering feels more like building a plate than picking an entree. The room is small, dark and loud, the bar pours stiff, and dinner runs Wednesday through Sunday only. It has been a hard reservation for most of a decade; arriving at five and taking a bar seat is still the reliable way in.
Why go. A decade on, still the most enjoyable way to eat a pound of pork in Denver.
Closed Monday and Tuesday. If you did not book, get there at 5pm and take a bar seat.
