Japanese pub food, ramen and sushi under a LoHi apartment block
An izakaya on the ground floor of an apartment building on Boulder Street, doing the full spread: yakitori off the grill, tonkotsu ramen, sushi and rolls, small plates meant for drinking. It looks sleeker than a neighborhood joint but prices like one, and the katsu sando and grilled Alaskan crab turn up on most tables. The bar runs to midnight Friday and Saturday. Lunch is a weekend-only thing - weekdays it opens at 4:30, which sends a lot of people away disappointed.
Why go. One table can order ramen, sushi and skewers without anyone compromising.
