Ninth Street Historic Park
Fourteen restored 1870s houses, the oldest residential block left in Denver
One block of old Auraria survived the campus. Fourteen houses built between 1872 and 1906 still stand where the rest of the neighborhood was cleared in the 1970s, saved by a residents' campaign and restored as a three-acre park that opened to the public in 1977. Two of the houses are territorial, older than the state itself. The styles run from Carpenter Gothic to brick bungalow. It is on the National Register and the Denver landmark list, and it takes about fifteen minutes to walk end to end.

This is a walk-through, not a museum - the houses hold campus offices and are not open to the public.
