Ocean Prime
Polished corporate steak-and-seafood on the corner of 15th and Larimer.
Ocean Prime is Cameron Mitchell's upscale steak and seafood chain, and the Denver flagship sits on the corner of 15th and Larimer at the head of Larimer Square. Executive chef Jesse Schantz runs a menu of prime steaks, seafood towers and a Wine Spectator-listed list; the lounge does a weekday happy hour with $5 off the lounge menu, and there is a $149 dinner-for-two deal Monday through Thursday. Five private rooms make it a default for business dinners. Dinner only. It is expensive and it is exactly what it looks like.
Why go. Expense-account dinners, anniversaries, and parents who want tablecloths on Larimer Square.
The lounge happy hour Mon–Fri 4–6pm is the affordable way in; the Mon–Thu dinner-for-two menu is a real discount on a full meal.
