Twenty-odd working studios you can walk through while the artists are in them
Laura Merage founded RedLine in 2008 to give Colorado artists something the market rarely does: free space and time. The 22,000-square-foot building holds a main exhibition hall running a dozen or more shows a year, a library of some 8,000 art books, and eighteen resident studios on fully subsidized two-year residencies. More than 130 artists have come through. Because the studios sit off the main hall rather than behind a locked door, a visit here is closer to walking through a working building than through a gallery. Ten dollars in, three for students.
Why go. One of the few places in Denver where you see the work and the person making it.
Closed Mondays, and last entry is half an hour before the five o'clock close.
