Mina Litinsky opened this gallery in 1981 and built it into one of the better-known dealerships in contemporary and modern Russian art anywhere in the United States. It is no longer the walk-in space at 1612 17th Street that older maps still show; it moved into a suite at 1777 Larimer, in a residential and office tower off the 16th Street corridor. Treat it as an appointment-only dealer rather than a gallery you drop into, and call ahead before you plan anything around it.
Why go. A deep, specialized collection of Russian nonconformist work you will not find elsewhere in Denver.
There is no storefront to walk into; phone first and expect a scheduled visit.
