The Banshee House

The building dates to 1885, back when this stretch of Larimer was a working block rather than a destination. It is said to have sold eggs and live chickens out the front window early on; more recently it housed the Banshee Press, which is where the current name comes from. Now it is a small event venue - about 2,000 square feet across four rooms, an upstairs lounge and a patio - taking dinners, pop-ups, micro weddings and shoots. It is booked rather than open, so what you can walk into depends entirely on the calendar.

Why go. A small, odd, genuinely old room in a stretch of Larimer that has knocked most of them down.
