Ultreia

Jennifer Jasinski's Iberian tapas and gin-tonics off the Great Hall.

Ultreia opened in Union Station in 2017 as the fourth restaurant from Jennifer Jasinski and Beth Gruitch (Rioja, Bistro Vendôme, Stoic & Genuine), named for the greeting pilgrims give each other on the Camino de Santiago. It is Spanish and Portuguese by way of Denver: conservas, jamón, grilled octopus, a long list of gin-tonics served in the big Spanish goblets, and a vermouth hour. It is dark, loud, and one of the better places in the building for a group that wants to graze rather than order courses.

Why go. Tapas and a proper gin-tonic inside the station, from the chef who defined Larimer Square.

Come for the early evening vermouth hour at the bar; the room fills after 7 on weekends.
