Ice House Tavern
Cheap-drinks sports tavern in the freight house, doors open wide before Rockies games.
The Ice House Tavern occupies the Wynkoop end of the old Union Pacific freight building at 18th, next door to Rodizio Grill and two blocks from Coors Field. It is a neighborhood sports bar in the plain sense: a lot of TVs, wings and burgers, drink specials most days, and roll-up doors and a patio that stay open through summer. It opens at 3pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends and goes to 2am every night, which makes it one of the more reliable late options this close to the stadium.
Why go. Pre-game beers or a late one after, without paying downtown cocktail prices.
Weekend afternoons before a home game the patio fills early; the specials board is the menu to order from.
