American Chinese chain · $$
P.F. Chang's
The national chain's downtown branch at 15th and Market, open late on weekends.
P.F. Chang's LoDo sits at the corner of 15th and Market, a block off Larimer Square, and is exactly what the chain is everywhere: lettuce wraps, dynamite shrimp, Mongolian beef, a full bar, and a big dining room that seats walk-ins when the independents nearby are on a wait. It is a useful fallback for a group with picky eaters, a late dinner after a show at the DCPA, or a convention crowd. Nothing to seek out, nothing to apologize for.
Why go. A known quantity that seats large groups and stays open until 11pm on weekends.
Order at the bar if the wait is long; the corner is a short walk from both Larimer Square and the theater district.
