Tokio is a small Japanese place in the low building at 29th and Huron, one block west of Coors Field by the I-25 exit, with its own lot of about 48 spaces out back. The chef has decades in Japanese kitchens and the menu runs ramen, nigiri, sashimi plates and specialty rolls, plus small plates. It opens at 5pm and stays open until midnight most nights, with a late happy hour on Friday and Saturday from 10:30. No reservations, but call 30 minutes ahead and they will try to hold a table. Closed Tuesdays.
Why go. A bowl of ramen after a night game when most kitchens on Blake have closed.
Park in the lot behind the building; the late happy hour Fri–Sat 10:30pm–midnight is the move after the ninth inning.
