Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar

Bar and grill inside Hose House No. 1, Denver's oldest surviving firehouse.

Woodie Fisher opened in 2019 as the restaurant of the Hilton Garden Inn Union Station, but it lives in the brick Hose House No. 1 at 20th and Chestnut, an 1881 volunteer fire station that is the oldest structure left in the Union Station district and is named for one of its firefighters. Chef Franco Ruiz's menu is bar-and-grill with some polish: burgers, salads, brunch on weekends, a 4-to-6 daily happy hour. There is a dog-friendly patio and The Deck upstairs Thursday to Saturday evenings. Handy for anyone walking to Coors Field from the north side of the station.

Why go. Breakfast from 6am or a pre-game beer in a 140-year-old firehouse a block from Coors Field.

Valet at the Hilton Garden Inn next door is free with validation, which is the cheapest parking near Coors Field on a game night.
