Bar Dough
House-made pasta and a bar that outlasts the block
An Italian room on 32nd doing pasta made in house and wood-fired pizza, with a bar that keeps going after the kitchens around it have closed - 10pm on weeknights, 11 on Friday and Saturday, and weekend service starting at 10am. Periodic pizza omakase nights run midweek. The room is dark and loud and works for a date that isn't precious about it. Some reservations carry a deposit, so read the confirmation before you book a large table and assume you can cancel.
Why go. Fresh pasta and a proper drink at an hour when Highland has gone quiet.
Larger reservations can carry a deposit - check the confirmation before you book for six.
