Bierstadt Lagerhaus

Bierstadt makes one thing and takes it seriously: German lager, brewed on a copper Ziemann brewhouse shipped over from Bavaria. The Slow Pour Pils takes several minutes to fill and nobody behind the bar will hurry it, which is either the charm or the irritation depending on your evening. The hall is large — two floors on Blake Street plus a patio, long tables, games — and it fills up with big groups without feeling crowded. It closes Tuesdays. There is food, but people come for the beer and the room.

Why go. The one Denver brewery where ordering a pilsner is the entire point of coming.
