River North Brewery
Barrel-aged sours and big Belgian strong ales, a mile up from the park
Note: this place moved. The original 2401 Blake Street brewery closed and the building came down; the brand moved to 6021 Washington Street and then reopened its flagship RiNo taproom at 3400 Blake Street in July 2019.
River North opened in 2012 at 2401 Blake Street, lost that building when the block was redeveloped, and came back in July 2019 at 3400 Blake, about a mile northeast of Coors Field. The OSM pin near 24th and Stout points at the old address, not the brewery. The barrel program is the reason to make the trip: Belgian-leaning strong ales and a deep bench of barrel-aged stouts alongside twelve rotating taps, with a patio the dogs use year round. Closed Mondays, opens at noon on weekends.
Why go. One of the few Denver taprooms still built around a barrel program.
It is a ride or a long walk from the ballpark, not a stumble, and it is dark on Mondays.
