Prost Brewing

German lagers off a 1963 copper brewhouse shipped over from Bavaria

The copper brewhouse in this room was built by Ziemann in 1963 and worked at the Bucher Brau in Grafenau, Bavaria, until 1984; Prost brought it to Denver and has been brewing on it since 2012. Everything is German: grain, hops, yeast, and a lineup that stays inside the styles rather than reinventing them. The pils and the kolsch are the tells. There is no kitchen, so bring food or catch a truck, and the beer hall seating means you will end up sharing a table.

Why go. Denver's most single-minded lager brewery, on equipment older than most of the people drinking it.

No food is served, so eat first or bring it in; the pils is the beer to judge the place on.
